HOW TO WRITE A SUCCESSFUL GRANT

In the first podcast we start with a tribute to Dr Sevda Hassan, Chair of YPT, who sadly passed away just before this podcast launched. She had listened to the recording a few days before she passed and was excited about the upcoming series. Sevda inspired us all to be better and will leave a huge void in the European transplant community.

The guest of this podcast is Nina Pilat, Associate Professor at the University of Vienna and Chair of ESOT’s Basic Science Committee. Prof. Pilat has successfully applied to several research grants based on her work on Treg-induced transplantation tolerance.

Prof. Pilat talks about her experience of grant writing over the years, with great advice for young researchers. Based on Prof. Pilat's personal experiences, the podcast discusses the general principles of successful grant writing and how to handle rejection.

If you are looking for inspiration, this is a must listen to all budding transplant professionals.
